Amazon has announced the new (the ninth, to be precise) generation of its low-cost tablet: Fire 7 (2019) maintains the same price and still integrates a 7-inch HD IPS display (1024 x 600 pixels) but – two years since the launch of the latest model – Amazon has also decided to upgrade the hardware platform. In fact, the new tablet features a faster 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 16GB or 32GB storage space (compared to the 2017 model’s 8GB and 32GB options), allowing customers to enjoy even more video, music, games and books, at any time.
There are also two new colors: Fire 7 (2019) is in pre-order with a black chassis for only 69.99 euros, although shipments will start on June 6th. The cases, on sale for 24.99 euros, are instead available in the colors of black, sage green, mauve, blue-gray, ocher and can be positioned both vertically and horizontally.

According to Amazon, the autonomy of the new Fire 7 should reach 7 consecutive hours, that is an hour less than the previous generation, and probably 1GB of RAM, dual-band 802.11n WiFi and the 2MP main camera they deserved a little upgrade. Even the dimensions have remained unchanged, with a frame measuring 192 x 115 x 9.6 mm but a little lighter (286 grams). The tablet has a 3.5 mm audio jack and a built-in speaker, as well as a micro USB port that takes as much as 4 hours to fully charge the battery using the 5W power adapter and USB 2.0 charging cable supplied.
