AMD Ryzen 5000

The AMD Ryzen 5000 are fresh from their debut on the market and have already aroused a lot of interest, not only because of the excellent performance of the Core Zen 3, but also for the strong overclocking qualities that have seen some models already pushed beyond 6 GHz. motherboard manufacturing partners obviously made themselves ready, with companies like ASUS not missing the opportunity to showcase the new models complete with new world category records.

Among these, the top of the range ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero stands out, entrusted to the professional overclocker Safedisk who obtained 15 first places, testing respectively AMD Ryzen 5800X, 5900X and 5950X in benchmarks such as Cinebench R15 and R20, Geekbench 3 and 4 and several others; among these there is also the world record in single-core on Geekbench4.

During the test session (graphics benchmarks were excluded), which obviously involved the use of a liquid nitrogen cooling system, Safedisk recorded peak frequencies of 6075 MHz on all cores with Ryzen 9 5950X. Here is the hardware configuration in detail:

AMD Ryzen 5800X, 5900X and 5950X CPU
ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard
RAM G.SKILL Trident Royal F4-4000C15D-16GTRS
NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 video card
Enermax MaxTytan 1250W Titanium power supply

Below is the list of records obtained in the various benchmarks, while we remind you that the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero will be available in the coming days. We have no details on the Italian price, however on some European shops the card has been spotted at around 500 euros.
