SUS updates its offering of Chrome OS mini-PCs with the Chromebox 4 series, products that substantially reflect the design of the previous generation Chromebox 3, but updating the hardware configuration with 10th generation Intel Core processors. Compact in size, with a 148.5 x 148.5 x 40 mm chassis, the new Chromebox 4 from ASUS guarantee a net performance boost and better energy efficiency, offering excellent connectivity and all the versatility of the Chrome OS devices.
The Chromeboxes support Google Play, a feature that allows you to natively use some Android apps, while as regards the network department we find WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 (2×2) and Gigabit LAN card. As for the processors, ASUS offers several options including the Core i7-10510U, a quad-core chip with Hyper-Threding support that can reach 4.9 GHz in Boost mode.
The graphics part is obviously entrusted to the integrated Intel UHD chip that can manage up to three 4K displays, helped by two HDMI ports and a USB-C 3.2 Gen1; We also point out that the system also supports the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard (based on the CPU) and can also be configured with a 256GB M.2 SSD (SATA though).
At the moment there are no details on prices and availability for Italy, while in the USA the new ASUS Chromebox 4 should be available from December with prices starting from 299 dollars.
