The first information on the Denon AVC-X6700H home cinema amplifier was leaked on the net through a video published on YouTube, now no longer visible as it was made private. The product comes with two classic liveries in black or silver, double front knob, screen in the center and door to hide the front doors. The suffix “H” indicates compatibility with HEOS, the multi-room ecosystem created by Denon. X6700H is therefore capable of operating in synergy with other HEOS devices to spread music in various rooms of your home.

Features include support for various streaming services such as Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal and Deezer. Users can control the amplifier via voice using the Google Assistant, Alexa or Siri voice assistants. Connectivity provides HDMI ports capable of supporting some features of HDMI 2.1.

We specifically speak of 8K resolution signals up to 60 Hz, Ultra HD up to 120 Hz and eARC, the improved audio return channel capable of handling lossless tracks as well. The Variable Refesh Rate and the possibility of conveying all forms of HDR, from HDR10 to HLG via Dolby Vision and HDR10 +, should be added to this equipment. Compatibility with HDCP 2.3 is also guaranteed.

X6700H can manage up to 11.2 channels with a declared power of 205 W (unfortunately the detailed specifications regarding the actual supply are missing). Using the pre-out outputs, up to 13.2 channels can be obtained. The supported formats include practically everything possible: we find not only Dolby Atmos but also DTS: X Pro, Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced (on which Sony seems to want to focus more decisively).
