The Gigabyte Brix series of Mini PCs has been around for several years – at least since the launch of the Intel NUC range from which it derives – with moderate success, so it is not surprising that the Taiwanese company has announced an update with four new models. The new Gigabyte BRIX S should soon be available on the market with a 10th gen Intel Comet Lake-U processor to choose from: a dual-core Intel Core i3-10110U at 2.1 / 4.1 GHz (BRi3H-10110), an Intel quad-core Core i5-10210U at 1.6 / 4.2GHz (BRi5H-10210), an Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core at 1.8 / 4.9GHz (BRi7H-10510) and a hexa-core Intel Core i7-10710U at 1.1 / 4.7GHz ( BRi7H-10710).

These are processors with 15W TDP and Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPU, which allows you to use the Mini PC for basic gaming. Also on board are two SODIMM modules up to 64GB DDR4-2666 MHz, a 2.5-inch hard disk and an M.2 2280 SSD drive slot compatible with Intel Optane technology.
Inside a frame measuring 12 x 12 x 4.5 cm, the new Gigabyte Brix S has an RJ-45 (Gigabit Ethernet) port, two HDMI 2.0 with support for video up to 4K @ 60fps HDR, five USB 3.2 Gen1, a USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is also an RS-232 COM port, for those who want to use the Mini PC for commercial applications, as well as an Intel AC 3168 WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2 module. For those who request it, Gigabyte also offers an optional expansion card for two additional Gigabit Ethernet ports. In the lower part we find a VESA support compatible with measures of 75 × 75 mm and 100 × 100 mm, in order to hang the Mini PC on the back of the monitor.
The new Gigabyte Brix S 10Gen will be available in different configurations, with the operating system, memory and storage already pre-installed, but also in barebones versions on Amazon and in specialized stores at a price that should be around 350 euros.
