For over a decade, the Intel vPro platform has enabled IT to help businesses, large and small, keep employees productive, protect corporate assets, and simplify fleet management. In concrete terms, these chips have additional security functions compared to the standard variants, such as correcting ECC memory errors, remote control and management functions and encryption. This dedication continues to grow with the new Intel vPro platform, based on Intel Comet Lake vPro processors, designed for all workers who operate increasingly remotely.
Intel Comet Lake vPro
New processors for laptops and desktops offer improvements in productivity, connectivity, security features and remote management, all to allow IT to deliver amazing experiences, helping employees stay connected, be more productive and more safe and minimize interruptions to their work.
Among the low-consumption chips with 15W TDP, we find: Intel Core i5-10310U vPro and Intel Core i7-1061U vPro quad-core, already introduced with the launch of the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s and P15s Pro, and a new Intel Core i7- 10810U vPro hexa-core announced at CES 2020. In the Comet Lake-H vPro family with 45W TDP, we report the already known Intel Core i5-10400H quad-core and Intel Core i7-1085H hexa-core and the new Intel Core i9- 10885H octa-core. To these are added the new Intel Xeon Comet Lake vPro processors, namely the hexa-core Xeon W-10855M and the octa-core Xeon W-10885M, still with 45W TDP.
Systems based on the latest Intel vPro processors offer workers the business-class performance and responsiveness they need to be productive, as well as Thunderbolt 3 and integrated Wi-Fi 6 (Gig +) connectivity, which is the best Wi-Fi technology for video conferencing, more reliable performance and manageability technologies to face emerging new challenges for IT and users. All of this can be offered in devices of different formats: from elegant, powerful and modern devices based on Intel’s Project Athena innovation program to high-performance desktop design.
Improvements of this generation include:
Overall application performance up to 40% better than a 3-year-old notebook.
Up to 36% better office productivity than a 3-year-old notebook.
Up to 44% faster data analysis and visualization than on a desktop 5 years ago.
Almost 3 times faster Gigabit speeds and improved performance in dense environments with integrated Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig +) for the best Wi-Fi for video conferencing.
Fast reactivity, long battery life and immediate restart with Project Athena verified notebooks.
For Internet of Things (IoT) developers, the 10th generation Intel Core vPro processors and the Intel Xeon W-1200E series based on the Intel vPro platform, it provides business class performance, remote management and more, ideal for applications in the retail, banking, hospitality, education, healthcare, manufacturing and more.
Additional enhancements to the 10th Generation Intel Core vPro processors to provide greater security, lifecycle management and operational stability include:
Intel Hardware Shield provides hardware-enhanced and integrated security features to help prevent cyber-attacks – now with advanced threat detection and extended protection features below the operating system to help safeguard critical memory resources. system
The Intel Trusted Supply Chain contributes to the traceability and authenticity of PC components for greater peace of mind
Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) and Intel Endpoint Management Assistance (EMA) can help companies save time and money on IT support in the presence, PC maintenance and employee downtime thanks to remote device manageability, both on-premise than in the cloud
