Kingston has announced the availability of the new DC1000B NVMe series of SSDs for data centers. This new drive is the ideal solution for servers that need one or two dedicated M.2 NVMe slots to boot, thus preserving valuable space to be able to dedicate to 2.5 “front-loading bays for storing additional data. Kingston DC1000B is designed in the 2280 format, which includes PLP (Power Loss Protection) functionality and a 0.5 DWPD resistor, capable of guaranteeing a long useful life.

The Kingston DC1000B drive features high performance at speeds up to 3.2GB / s and 205K IOPS and is enhanced to withstand typical workloads of both boot drives and caching and application log drives.

Kingston’s DC1000B Data Center drive is a high-performance M.2 (2280) PCIe NVMe SSD, which uses the latest generation PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4 interface with NAND TLC 3D technology. Thanks to the DC1000B drive, Data Centers can be equipped with a boot unit with an excellent cost-effectiveness ratio, having the guarantee of purchasing an SSD designed for use in servers.

Use as an internal boot drive for high-volume rack servers is the ideal use for the DC1000B drive, which is also perfect for custom systems that require a high-performance M.2 SSD with PLP (Power Loss Protection) functionality ) integrated. The DC1000B drive is structurally capable of consistently delivering enterprise level performance and low latency features, normally unattainable for a client-grade SSD product.

DC1000B is available in 240GB and 480GB capacities and is covered by a five-year warranty, free technical support and legendary Kingston reliability.
