MSI has renewed its Creator series, a range of elegant notebooks directed (and it is not a mystery, from the name) to content creators, from those who are always on the move to those stationary in the office. MSI Creator 17, Creator 15M and 17M are not new, but existing models updated with new hardware equipment. We do not yet know when they will be introduced on the (European) market and at what prices, but we can expect the launch to take place during the summer or perhaps for the back-to-school. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at the news.
MSI Creator 17
MSI Creator 17 is a machine built in metal, light and thin (396 x 259 x 20.25 mm), which however must meet the needs of graphics professionals. The new configurations will therefore be equipped with 10th generation Intel Comet Lake-H processors up to the 2.3GHz octa-Core Core i7-10875H and latest generation Nvidia graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q. The features presented at the moment also report two M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3 / SATA M.2 slots for storage and a SteelSeries keyboard with RGB backlighting for specific gaming key.
In addition to having a completely renewed platform, MSI Creator 17 is also the first notebook in the world to boast a Mini LED screen and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Its extraordinary 17.3-inch 4K UHD display (3840 x 2160 pixels) is, in fact, able to ensure up to 1000 nits of brightness, 100% of the AdobeRGB color space, greater depth of images and maximum realism with videos, representing an ideal proposal even for the most demanding creative professionals and looking for a solution to the state of the art.
MSI also announced that it has also “redesigned” the Creator 15M and Creator 17M laptops to integrate the new 10th generation Comet Lake-H processors and the latest generation Nvidia GPUs. Both models will thus be able to benefit from chips up to the hexa-core Core i7-10750H but, if the 15-inch version can support up to the “old” GeForce RTX 2060 with 6GB of GDDR6 memory, the 17-inch version can be equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super with 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

Again, the notebooks have 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS screens with 100% sRGB, as well as hybrid storage based on two PCIe Gen3 NVMe M.2 slots with a SATA for Creator 15M and an M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3 / SATA with a 2.5 “SATA HDD slot for Creator 17M.
