Last year, One Netbook launched the One Mix 3 mini-notebook series, with two models: One Mix 3 Pro and One Mix 3S + Yoga with 8th generation Intel Amber Lake processors. It was not a choice of the Chinese company but a necessity for the most recent Intel Core chip supply difficulties, which however now seem to be solved. One Netbook has updated these models with 10th generation Intel Amber Lake-Y processors and also added a new version (or rather two) of the pocket notebook: One Mix 3 Pro Platinum Edition with Intel Core i7-10510Y.
One Mix 3 Pro
All One Mix 3 Yoga mini-notebooks are equipped with a 8.4-inch (2560 x 1600 pixel) touch display, rotatable 360 degrees, with a backlit keyboard and support for a pressure-sensitive pen (optional). The strength of these devices is their versatility: they can be used as a notebook for productivity and, with a simple move, transformed into a tablet to surf the Internet or watch a movie comfortably on the sofa. In essence, the series now includes four 10th gen Intel Core chip configurations:
The new Intel Core i3-10110Y, Core i5-10210Y and Intel Core i7-10510Y processors have a 7W TDP and – while being more recent and efficient – they are part of the same eighth generation Amber Lake-Y chip family. However, they have some advantages: Intel Core i5-10210Y and Core i7-10510Y are quad-cores (8 threads), therefore light years away from the previous Core i5 / i7, while Intel Core i3-10110Y is a dual-core (4 threads ) – like most of its predecessors – but it supports boost frequencies up to 4 GHz, which allows you to distinguish it from the older Core m3-8100Y chip that works at 3.4 GHz.
Even if One Netbook has not yet published an official page for One Mix 3 Pro Platinum Edition on its website, the mini-notebook is already on pre-order on GeekBuying at the price of 1150 euros. It’s not cheap or even convenient, but it’s the price to pay for a 680 gram notebook with Core i7, given that the One Mix 3 Pro model with the same RAM and memory but with a slightly less powerful Core i5-10210Y chip is sold at about 900 euros. One Mix 3S + is perhaps the best choice for value for money with 719 euros, but it is the only model with dual-core processor
