Oppo Find X2

Oppo shared some features of the Find X2 display on Twitter, focusing in particular on the 10-bit OLED screen. Compared to 8-bit OLED or LCD, the solution implemented by the Chinese company is able to reproduce 1,024 shades of each single color (256 for 8-bit), thus avoiding any form of color banding. The smartphone will also offer a contrast of 5,000,000: 1, which should translate into blacks more blacks and whiter whites (and better represented colors), to put it simply.

We have been talking about Oppo Find X2 for several weeks: the Chinese company’s next top of the range will be presented on March 6, and it has been the focus of numerous rumors and advances that have allowed us to make a first identikit of the device.

To give us first indications on the technical specifications, VP of Oppo Brian Shen had thought of us, who had listed what should not be missing – for him – on a top of the range. It seems, however, that not everything coincides with what we will find on Find X2 which, apparently, will be even better. Specifically, the smartphone will, yes, have a display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, but the resolution will not stop at 2K: in fact it will reach up to 3K, an element that will allow you to further position the device at the top of the category.

The framework of the expected specifications on Oppo Find X2 should therefore include:

6.7 “in 3K resolution 3168×1440 with 120Hz refresh rate, 513ppi, curved glass with 80 ° angle, hole in the display to accommodate the camera
sampling rate 240Hz
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865
Internal memory:
5G, dual band WiFi
Front camera:
Triple rear camera:
4.065mAh with 65W recharge, 50W wireless

Oppo Find X2 and its Pro variant (the first references date back to the end of January) have appeared in some renderings on Weibo (but the page seems to have been removed, in the VIA you will find the links to Slashleaks) that allow us to take a first look at the design and to analyze the differences between the two models.

The reference, specifically, is made on the rear photographic sector, composed in both cases by a triple rear camera. Compared to the standard model, however, on the Pro variant there should be a different sensor (you can see it from the images), perhaps a periscopic zoom based on its shape. It’s just speculation at the moment
