Samsung seems ready to renew its Galaxy Tab A tablet line with at least one new model that should make up the next 2020 range. The first concrete information comes from the Google Play Developer Console, which has anticipated part of the technical specifications of the variant with display to be 8.4 “.
The tablet would be in the medium-low range segment, judging from what emerged from the device profile:
8.4 “FullHD resolution display (1920×1200 pixels)
SoC Exynos 7904 (2x Cortex-A73 @ 1.8GHz + 6x Cortex-A53 @ 1.6GHz)
Mali-G71 MP2 GPU
Android 9 Pie system
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 2020
The Android distribution is not the latest available at the moment, but an update before commercialization cannot be excluded. As for the SoC, it is the Exynos 7904 officialized over a year ago.
For the moment, no other details are known – in particular, references to the design, camera system, battery and storage memory are missing. The presentation should not however be far off, although it is to be excluded that it will take place at the Mobile World Congress 2020, after its cancellation due to the Coronavirus COVID-19.
