Xiaomi broke the delay and, after announcing yesterday the arrival of a new member of the Mi 9 range (see original article), he confirmed in the morning that this is indeed the Mi 9T. The message posted on Twitter leaves little room for doubt:
The Xiaomi Mi 9 family of smartphones seems to be expanding: the official account of the Chinese company has recently talked about it on Twitter asking for suggestions on the name – or rather, on the letter to be used as a suffix. If you want to have your say, here’s the reference tweet: just reply.
A few days ago the probable new smartphone was already certified (and by four different institutions, no less): at the time we had identified it as Mi 9T, which by the way is one of the three letters proposed by Xiaomi. There are no precise details on the technical specifications at the moment, but it is assumed that this could be the “Xiaomi variant” and the international Redmi K20 or (better yet) the K20 Pro, a smartphone with top-end specifications and reasonable prices recently presented in China. To confirm the clue the hashtag #PopUpInStyle in the tweet contributes, which could be traced back to the front pop-up camera, one of the peculiarities of K20 / K20 Pro.
