Crosscall launches CORE-X5 and CORE-T5, smartphones and tablets with PTT function
Crosscall expands its CORE range, with the arrival of the CORE-X5 smartphone and the CORE-T5 tablet. Both integrate the PTT function and are intended for use in hostile environments and for group communication.
The PRM (Professional / Private Mobile Radio) market, which includes professionals from industry, logistics, transport and civil security, is changing with the replacement of old systems operating with technology equivalent to 2G towards a universal and safe system. 4G broadband capable of sending data (photos, documents, videos) in addition to voice communications. The old portable systems will thus be replaced by digital solutions that involve the use of smartphones. The CORE-X5 and CORE-T5 thus complete the range dedicated to professionals, which already included the CORE-M5, thus covering all the needs of those looking for reliable and time-efficient devices. The CORE-X5 smartphone is on sale in Italy for around 549 euros, while the CORE-T5 tablet has a price of 649 euros.

The CORE-X5 was designed for professionals working in a hostile environment where live communication is key. It is optimized for PMR with full coverage: public and private 4G networks, including bands 28, 38 and 40. Thanks to its powerful 100dB speaker, it is possible to communicate in noisy environments: for example, an employee standing next to a jackhammer will be able to hear his interlocutor perfectly.
In addition, the Crosscall teams have incorporated 4 programmable buttons, larger than average in size to facilitate use even when wearing gloves. Therefore, the Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality is unlimited, which can be activated with a simple push in all situations: in the warehouse, on the production site or outdoors. The CORE-X5 is compatible with most PTT applications on the market and offers the natively installed X-TALK application.

The 4940 mAh battery ensures long-lasting autonomy: 14 hours in PTT and 15 hours in GPS navigation. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor is optimized for low resource consumption and supports all mission-critical protocols. This allows the various operators in the world of emergency (ambulances, firefighters, hospitals) to communicate with each other in real time to coordinate interventions. It features a triple drawer (2 Nano SIM + 1 MicroSD) to combine professional and personal use.
